Abstract/Summary:
In recent years,the rapid development of new energy vehicles has brought new vitality into the global automobile industry and is likely to lead to the reshaping of the automobile industry in the future.As one of the core components of new energy vehicles,power batteries have also made great progress in recent years,with a large number of basic research achievements and technological innovation achievements emerging.The relationship between basic research and technological innovation has always been the focus of research in the field of innovation.Studying the relationship between the two is helpful to realize the transformation of innovation achievements and accelerate the development of technology and industry.However,there are still three deficiencies in the current research: first,the existing literature mainly focuses on the impact of basic research on technological innovation,and insufficient exploration on how technological innovation influences basic research.Second,the existing literature mostly selects biological,pharmaceutical,general energy and other industries as the research object,and pays insufficient attention to one of the most important emerging fields,power battery.However,there are obvious differences in the relationship between basic research and technological innovation in different industries.Third,when existing literatures explore the relationship between patent and paper,they mostly use descriptive indicators such as scientific correlation degree and citation time delay for analysis,which lacks the investigation on the value of patent and paper,and the research on the relationship between basic research and technological innovation is not deep enough.Based on the literature research,this paper sorts out the basic research and technological innovation measurement indexes,and proposes the hypothesis of the interactive relationship between the global basic research of power battery and technological innovation based on the existing research.The data of power battery patents and papers were collected by Derwent Innovation Index and Web of Science authoritative database.The hypothesis was tested by Tobit regression analysis,and the patents of typical power battery enterprises were compared and analyzed in depth.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows :(1)on the whole,basic research on power batteries has a significant positive effect on technological innovation.At the same time,basic research on lithium battery promoted technological innovation more strongly in the early stage,while fuel cell and Ni-MH battery were not significant.(2)on the whole,the innovation of power battery technology has no significant effect on the promotion of basic research.It was found in the sub-sample study that the three types of battery technological innovations did not have an obvious promoting effect on basic research,lithium battery and fuel cell presented positive and negative laws in the early stage and negative laws in the later stage,while Ni-MH battery was not significant.(3)the enterprise lays different emphasis on the development of three types of power battery technologies.The technical practice analysis proves that the basic research of power battery has a positive effect on technological innovation.Finally,according to the research conclusions,the paper puts forward policies and countermeasures and Suggestions from the government and enterprises :(1)the government should adhere to the investment in basic research of power battery,formulate appropriate policies for innovative development according to the period of power battery technology,and actively promote the cooperation between the industry,university and research institute of power battery;(2)the enterprise should carefully choose the technology route of power battery,pay more attention to R&D,and actively cooperate with the outside world to build a technology ecosystem.
