Research On Progress Control Management Of M Engineering Project

It is pointed out in The Outline of the Thirteenth Year Plan for National Economy and Social Development in Qingdao West Coast New Area(Huangdao Area)that the New Area will focus on creating a university-centralized area based on the development of Marine economy,to actively introduce well-known universities from home and abroad,and to encourage universities in New Area carrying out the jointly setting up of kinds of school with overseas universities.Also the New Area will devote itself to introducing and cultivating a number of scientific leaders well-known in the domestic and international field of Marine science;to introducing and cultivating a number of high-level Marine technology entrepreneurs and applied talents,who can be familiar with international and domestic markets,guide and undertake the business promotion,or promote the transformation and upgrading of the Marine industry;as well as to improving its capacity for independent innovation in Marine science and technology.To achieve the above goals,government of the New Area plans to design and construct a college town.A platform will be established to introduce talents instead of funds,in order to accelerate the transformation of economic development patterns from depending on money and stuff to technology and manpower.Engineering M is a joint project between government of Qingdao and Chinese Academy of Sciences,which can be one that improves regional science and technology levels,cultivates talents for Marine science and technology,and promotes the development of regional Marine economy.In consideration of large investment,stringent specification,long construction cycle and high technical risks,the progress control management of Project M is indispensable.The progress control management is a substantialpart in program management,to save cost,ensure project duration,improve project quality,and actively promote development of research and education in the West Coast New Area.This thesis will analyze the management procedures of progress control starts with the present management situation of Project M,with the help of WBS which disintegrates Project M into several parts,as well as theory and methods of progress control management.The purpose of this research is to find out problems of Project M,in order to bring forward improvement and supporting measures of this project,and provide reference value or significance for similar projects.
