With the construction of skyscraper buildings in cities,the frequency of the utilization of elevators has gradually increased.As special equipment for transportation of people or freight,the elevator should be in a safety and stable all the time.Once the elevator is in trouble,there must be a proper way to rescue the people in the cage,so as to avoid greater personal injury or property damage.This thesis applies the theory of Quality Clinic Process Charts(QCPC)and the theory of Relentless Root Cause Analysis(RRCA)of the management system Achieving Competitive Excellence(ACE)to analysis and research the Manual Rescue Operation(MRO)failure of elevator company F following the procedure “definition – investigation--verification--ensure”.At first,the detail question was defined by Quality Management System and the tool 5W2 H.In phase of problem investigation,via using fishbone diagram and fault tree analysis and related experiments,the root causes have been confirmed which are the machine brake input electrical signal time is too short and the size of the cable between backup battery to emergency repair panel is too small.According to the further test,the improvement actions were confirmed which are adjustment the input electrical signal duration to 650 ms and the cable diameter was increased to 2mm2.Then,according to these two improvement actions,on one hand,modified the design drawing,on the other hand,the modification materials have been shipped to support these branches complete the modify for the installed elevators in jobsite.Based on 5WHY analysis and Action Selection Matrix,the weak link in the design management process are found and optimized.At last,the data tracked by follow-up problems shows that the improved actions are effective and have a good effect,which provides a certain reference value for the application of QCPC and RRCA theory to solve the elevator quality issue.
