How to improve the level of enterprise performance management has always been a major focus in management circles.When business management enters the age of strategic administration,strategic importance is increasingly prominent.Balanced scorecard is no longer just a performance evaluation method,but effectively combine performance management with strategic management,so that all employees of the company can understand and agree with the strategy and better implement strategic ideas.The research object of this paper is GB company,a private medium-sized enterprise,mainly engaged in the construction business.Under the pressure of economic environment,traditional performance management will hinder the development of GB company.Problems in performance management of GB company were found via GB company information as well as via interviews and questionnaires.The original performance management system has failed to support strategic tasks.There were a lack of communication and feedback between upper management levels and lower employee levels,as well as unreasonable management formalization,which failed to provide effective support for the healthy development of the company.Therefore,in order to get rid of the dilemma of performance management and further improve the level of performance management,a set of the effective strategic performance management system can be constructed by introducing the balanced scorecard and applying the analytic hierarchy process.Firstly,the strategy map was drawn to make the company's strategy clearer and more obvious.The four levels of performance appraisal indicators are designed from the four dimensions of the balanced scorecard.Finally,strategic performance management and compensation design are linked to establish incentive mechanism;the guarantee measures for the implementation of the balanced scorecard are formulated.The purpose of this paper is to help GB company carry out reforms in its performancemanagement model.By using the method of balanced scorecard,this paper aims to enhance the ability of strategy implementation,strengthen the intrinsic impetus of the enterprise.In the meantime,the case study in this paper can offer references for strategic performance management studies on Chinese construction enterprises.
