Practice is the soul of engineering,the source of innovation.Engineering education must be oriented to engineering practice,in order to form engineering thinking and accumulate engineering experience.At present,China’s engineering education is lacking in engineering practice,resulting in insufficient competitiveness of engineering talents.Facing the challenges of scientific and technological revolution,the concept of Emerging Engineering Education came into being.It provides a new perspective and Chinese model for engineering education reform.Therefore,guided by the requirements of Emerging Engineering Education,systematic research on the construction of engineering practice teaching system will help to improve teaching quality,and cultivate innovative engineering talents,thus providing strong support for Emerging Engineering Education.Guided by the requirements of Emerging Engineering Education and the idea of Regression Engineering,this research explores the practical requirements,practical status and construction path of engineering practice teaching system in Emerging Engineering Education by literature research method,case analysis method and comparative research method.Through the research,we find that engineering practice teaching system in Emerging Engineering Education should meet the needs of industrial development,achieve integration and innovation,and lead the future development.In reality,there are existing problems in China’s engineering practice teaching system,such as vague teaching objectives,outdated teaching content,and lack of teaching resources.These problems produce a result that the quality of practical teaching is not guaranteed,engineering talents deviate from engineering practice and are out of touch with society.The construction of American engineering practice teaching system has experienced three stages: engineering-oriented,deviation from engineering and regression engineering,has formed a relatively mature and complete practical teaching system.Therefore,this paper sums up the practical experience of the American engineering practice teaching system,and carries on the case analysis of MIT to offer useful reference for the construction of engineering practice teaching system in China.Based on the above research,This paper is devoted to exploring the construction path of the engineering practice teaching system in Emerging Engineering Education.We should follow the principles of overall optimization,future needs and ability orientation,take the practical elements of engineering practice teaching system as the starting point and foothold,clarify the objectives of engineering practice teaching,and focus on capacity cultivation of engineering talents;and conduct multi-disciplinary practical courses through engineering projects;adopt the innovative practice teaching methods,and emphasize active practice and the collaboration of science and education;strengthen practical teaching resources investment and provide effective guarantee for practical teaching.In order to ensure the good operation of the engineering practice teaching system,the paper innovates related mechanisms,such as interaction mechanisms,incentive mechanism and safeguard mechanism.
