A Study On The Sense Of Place Of Hanwang Industrial Earthquake Relics Park And Protection Of Memorial Landscape

After the Wenchuan earthquake,China established the world's largest and best preserved earthquake commemorative landscape system,which including Earthquake Site Museum(Beichuan),Wenchuan Earthquake Memorial Site(Wenchuan),Industrial Memorial Site(Hanwang)and Earthquake Relic Memorial Site(Hongkou).The dark tourism activities in the post-disaster restoration and earthquake commemorative areas have profoundly affected the sense of place of the earthquake-damaged area.“The characteristics of sense of place and the protection of memorial landscape” are the interdisciplinary research fields of social cultural geography,behavioral geography,landscape geography and environmental psychology.It is also an important and worthy academic topic for the 10 th anniversary of the wenchuan earthquake.Using empirical research,this article takes Hanwang Industrial Earthquake Relics Park as a research object,using case-study,local investigation,scientific measurement and other methods to carry out research.From the perspective of travel motivation,place identity,place dependence and the intent of environmental protection perceptions to design a research questionnaire,SPSS22.0 and AMOS were used to analysis the data,using descriptive statistical analysis,exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,structural equation model,measuring the general characteristics of travel motivation,sense of place and environmental protection perception and protection intention,it reveals the cognitive structure relationship between travel motivation,place identity,place dependence,protection perception,and protection intention.To explore the local protection problems,paths and strategies of memorial landscape under the sense of place.The results show that:(1)Education and commemoration,understanding and curiosity,revisit are the main motives for tourists to visit the Hanwang Industrial Earthquake Heritage Park.(2)In terms of the general characteristics of the sense of place,the tourist's sense of place is generally positive.Visitors of Hanwang Industrial Earthquake Relic Site Park have a high degree of place identity(m=4.08),a weak place dependence(m=3.43).The sense of place in Hanwang Industrial Earthquake Relics Park has different degrees of difference in demographic characteristics.From the perspective of demographic characteristics,the differences are existed in the aspect of Regional,Gender,age,visit times.(3)From the perspective of environmental protection and protection intention of visitors from the Hanwang Industrial Earthquake Relics Park,visitors have a strong sense of environmental protection(environmental protection m=4.15,protection intention m=4.15).(4)Tourism motivation of tourists in Hanwang Industrial Earthquake Relics Park impacts the protection intention through place identity.Tourism motivation has different degree of influence on protection intention through protection perception;Tourism motivation has a positive influence on the protection intention in the case of place dependence and protection perception as the intermediary variable.Finally,according to the existing problems of the place protection of Hanwang Industrial Earthquake Relics park,this paper puts forward the place protection path and protection strategy.The conclusions of this study are hopefully provide guidance and reference for the development of dark tourism in earthquake commemorative areas and the local protection and construction of earthquake commemorative landscapes.
