Research On The Design Of Memorial Landscape Plaza Based On The Spiritual Theory Of Place

Memorial is people’s nostalgia for the past things,with the dual meaning of time and space.This kind of emotion is transmitted by means of monumental concrete objects such as memorial architecture and memorial landscape.The square is a gathering place for people to have a variety of daily leisure activities,and it can also show the city’s features.The memorial square is different from the general activity square.It can solve the problem of spiritual belonging and identity of human beings.It is a place that connects time and provides enough spiritual guidance and support for people to understand and talk about history.At present,China attaches great importance to the protection of traditional villages and the sustainable development of traditional village culture,advocates a new way of harmonious development between man and nature,and takes the protection and utilization of traditional villages as an important way to carry forward China’s traditional culture and an important part of building a new society in a new era.The ancient village memorial square has also become a part of the village construction to highlight the village style and inherit the village spirit.With its distinctive regional features,traditional villages have become the material carrier for recording the local traditional system,production and lifestyle,folk customs and people’s living environment.However,with the continuous expansion of urban space and the continuous concentration of population and industry,ancient villages have become more "fashionable" under the influence of urban culture and modern trends,which inevitably leads to the decline or even disappearance of part of the traditional village style.Early due to the government and the society of the traditional village place spirit the lack of the consciousness of the protection and inheritance,and the study of ancient village public space place spirit is not thorough,village planning and design of public space environment lack of rationality,lead toancient villages in places of public space environment ultimately suffered severe damage,place spirit began to decline.The destruction of the natural features of the ancient villages and the loss of the collective memory of the villages eventually lead to the loss of local villagers’ sense of identity and belonging to the place where they lived for generations.In the face of the collapse of rural public places,this paper takes the square of lanhai village,nanjiao township,fangshan district,Beijing as an example,takes the place spirit as the theoretical guidance,analyzes the importance of the memorial square of ancient villages from the following four steps and puts forward the design strategy.I.starting from the current situation of the development and protection of ancient villages in China,this paper expounds the current situation of the gradual disappearance of the spiritual culture of villages and the spirit of places in China.II.Based on the existing site spirit and theoretical research results related to memorial squares,explore research methods that can provide strong guidance for the design of traditional village memorial squares.III,from the material elements and spiritual elements,the analysis of the water area ancient village place spirit of the elements and its material embodiment.IV.Analyze the current situation and shortcomings of shuiyu village square,and put forward design strategies for shuiyu village memorial square from four aspects:using activities,building a sense of direction,deepening the sense of square identity,and sublimating the sense of square belonging under the guidance of place spirit.
