Construction Of Contemporary Commercial Street In Lushan

Guling Cultural and Art Block is a pilot project,which is part of Lushan's broader efforts to develop local cultural tourism and eco-leisure industry and is also a product of combining Lushan's local research with modern business street designs.This thesis reviews the whole plan and design process of the Guling Cultural and Art Block project,highlighting the devising and implementation of the whole concept and tracking gains and losses throughout the whole designing phase.Historical process of business street development in China and around the world as well as advanced theories are refereed to and cross-analysis of successful cases in China is carried out,to summarize key lessons.Analysis on current problems with tourism industry and business environment of Guling Town indicates that the Cultural and Art Block project is based on realist demands.Based on roles and functions of modern business streets,cultural connotations of the block are tapped into,and business components of the community are improved,so as to contribute to an efficient and sound spatial distribution of block and business components.Based on the above efforts,solutions to Guling Town's current problems are presented and development of the local business and tourism industry should be boosted as a result.This project attaches great importance to shaping the exterior space of the block.Gracious dimensions of streets and continuous yet bouncing street spaces are used to bring the streets closers to people,improve consumer experience;square knots and miniaturized communication spaces under high population density shall be actively created to meet diversified consumer demands for a business street;unique spaces based on local geographic and environmental features should be created to make them the new tourist attractions of Gooling County.Based on cultural,commercial and mountainous factors,integrated utilization of building spaces of estates in mountainous areas,appropriate architectural dimensions and architectural styles that combine local features with commercial temperament should be relied upon to strike a balance between three factors and the goals of building the block.
