The Research On Accessibility Design Of Changsha's Public Space Relating To Universal Design

We rarely find people with disabilities in the city,and we can't see people with disabilities participating in the communication activities of ordinary people.There are currently 85 million disabled people in China who seem to be “isolated” by the society.In fact,each person's life will encounter various deficiencies in different periods of life.Expanding the service object of barrier-free design to all men and women,young and old,physically and mentally disabled,is the importance of the development of barrier-free design concepts into a universal design concept.This paper first analyzes the theory and practice of barrier-free design in domestic and abroad,and systematically understands the development of successful design concepts and successful practices.For the public accessibility design of urban public space,all people should be served.In terms of design methods,safety,accessibility,system and universal design principles should be followed.From barrier-free facilities to barrier-free environment systems,humanistic care should be put at the core location.On this basis,the system has sorted out the process of building an accessible environment in Changsha.From the needs of the people to the guidance of the government,Changsha has made corresponding efforts.However,the fact is that the barrier-free environment of public space in Changsha still has defects and fails to form an organic urban space.This paper will make a concrete analysis of the urban public space cases dominated by the three major spatial types of streets,green spaces and indoors to discover the barrier-free design problems in the built environment of Changsha City.Designers are the main players in urban space,except for government personnel.The author conducted in-depth interviews with the designer group,and made all-round thinking on the status quo of domestic barrier-free design from three aspects: industry norms,designer practice and architecture education.Based on all the above studies,the author proposes a set of barrier-free environment construction strategies from “consciousness-theory-design”,focusing on the common role of citizens,governments and designers in the barrier-free environment,as well as friendly citizens and perfect The design of regulations and care can fully build a barrier-free urban environment.
