| Limited by mother company process concept,matching status of organizational structure to business,level of information system,some JV OEMs have not achieved high score on their product change management system in terms of meeting China market demand.With the change on business environment,development on theory,revolution on information technology,change management process and system,as the core of an OEM,needs evolution.As a young JV OEM with a history of less than 10 years,because of the lack of operation experience,defect of organizational structure,bad performance on following mother company’s process,low efficiency of paper-based office,QL company urgently need a revolution on its change management process and system.To improve change management process and system,QL company needs to apply flat-type organizational structure concept to the setting up of a change review platform,to follow CMII to refine process,to adopt PLM system for information system build,and to adjust these activities with PDCA concept.In terms of organizational structure,functional organization structure built in early stage of the company no longer suitable for its business once multiple programs have been introduced.For change management,flat type structure is more suitable for business with background of cross-program,cross-department,cross-system,and cross-level.However,if flat type structure could not be achieved during a short period,referring flat type structure concept and setting up a review platform with each function’s involvement on certain program is a good option.As for a joint venture,who relies on its mother company on release of design,drawing,part numbers,has to make sure that a full-time support team has been added to its mother company’s organization.In terms of process,limited by old-fashioned mother company process and system,JV auto makers have to make firm decision on the improvement.The improvement process is suggested to follow the most advanced and evolving CMII specs.CMII is a system about configuration management.This specs provide a guidance to engineering change management activity among the whole product lifecycle,and could be used in between companies and between departments of companies,or between automaker and suppliers for in-time information sharing.Under the guidance of this specs,the logic relationship between product information archive and parts could be well recorded and managed,so accuracy and consistence between product data could be enabled.In terms of information system,it would be an issue if JV auto maker cannot use its mother company system because of access issue,or had not applied the most update to date software development results because of time limit,or had not done deep customization on system because of not paying too much attention on it,or had not done a good job on linking systems because of failed planning.Above mistakes should be avoided when doing the information system development.PLM(Product Lifecycle Management)theory accord well with the key concepts of CMII.ENOVIA system,developed by Dassault company following PLM,which can link people,process,contents and system efficiently,and in turn,enable the efficiency of the process.To evaluate the effect of the refinement of change management process and system,evaluation standards should be made and focus should be put on process thoroughness,practice standardization,status clarity,work efficiency,database quality,parts and program development timing,business scope and employee satisfaction. |
