The construction industry of China has obtained a booming development for the moment.Not only does it produce a lot of waste concrete frequently during the process of building construction,but also consumes a lot of high-quality gravel in the course of road construction,especially pavement construction.To effectively coordinate a series of problems,such as urgently needed natural aggregates,excessive construction wastes which were difficult to deal with,and making further efforts to apply the construction waste into the road engineering construction,the research of this thesis were specifically developed from the performance evaluation of recycled aggregates to the research of the base of cement stabilized recycled aggregates,and then the road performance and strength evaluation were developed analysis finally.On the one hand,it was in favor of providing a theoretical basis for the comprehensive promotion of the application of recycled aggregates,on the other hand,it would also achieve good economic,social,and environmental benefits.This thesis mainly depended on the road project from Baoxi Village to Maojiazhai in Changning Town,Datong County,and adopted the waste cement concrete of the damaged pavement in this road section as material.The crushing process of the factory was applied to produce recycled aggregates,and then the recycled aggregates and natural aggregates were screened and the physical properties tests were conducted for them,mainly including crushing value,water absorption,percentage of flat-elongated particles,and apparent density,etc.,to determine the difference between the two kinds of aggregates,by the means of analyzing the experimental data,the physical properties of recycled aggregates were verified to be inferior to natural aggregates but it still met the requirements of the specifications.but beyond that,for mixtures of different percentage of cement and different recycled aggregates,firstly a compaction test was conducted to determine the maximum dry density and optimal water content,and then a 7d unconfined compressive strength test on the material was performed separately to measure the target ratio and production ratio.Finally,road performance tests were conducted,including split test,freeze-thaw cycle test,dry shrinkage and temperature shrinkage test to evaluate and verify the road base performance of cement stabilized recycled aggregate and determine the application feasibility of the recycled aggregate.In the test road section,the recycled aggregate was used as a pavement base layer.The test results indicated that the performance of the recycled aggregate applied in the pavement base layer could meet the requirements of the project,and the strength would develop well later.
