With the further development of urbanization in China,the income of urban residents increases and the living standard improves continuously.More and more attention is paid to education and the physical and mental health development of children.Early childhood is the most critical stage of life development,so children should be provided with opportunities and conditions for survival,development,protection and participation,respect for children’s natural growth,and pay attention to the cultivation of children’s hands-on ability.On the other hand,ecological environment and ecological education have also become research hotspots in preschool education in recent years,and more ecological kindergartens have emerged at the historic moment.Many kindergartens have added green planting areas in the park design,making the environment become a kind of "hidden classroom" that imperceptibly affects the physical and mental health of children.Due to the particularity of the early childhood,it is necessary to understand the psychological,physiological and behavioral characteristics of children in the design of the kindergarten landscape,so as to design a landscape environment that meets the development needs of children.Based on the theoretical research of environmental psychology,landscape sociology,ergonomics and other disciplines,this paper summarizes and analyzes the physical and mental characteristics and needs of children aged 3 to 6 years old,so as to provide reference for the research and design of outdoor environment landscape of kindergarten.By studying the existing literature and investigating the outdoor landscape of kindergartens,this paper summarizes the different problems existing in the outdoor landscape of kindergartens in the emerging stage.It also summarizes and analyzes the urban horticultural activities,urban horticultural space,urban horticultural facilities,urban horticultural plants and urban horticultural teaching mode in kindergartens at the present stage.In view of the disconnection between outdoor landscape and education in kindergartens in China,a series of landscape design research strategies under urban horticulture theory and specific design approaches of urban horticulture in outdoor landscape of kindergartens are put forward by integrating urban horticulture theory into urbanhorticulture theory.Let the kindergarten outdoor landscape design conform to the understanding and concept of nature,and create the kindergarten outdoor landscape design integrated with the natural environment,to provide reference for the construction of kindergarten urban horticulture.
