Since China's reform and opening-up policy operating for 40 years,electricity has become one of the most important sources of energy that continuously promotes the development of domestic economy.However,to this day,electricity shortage is still a big problem in our energy supply industry.With the serious problem of electricity shortage,many small and medium size electric power companies also face the crisis of failure.Some even nearly close.This thesis is about the basic strategies in thermal power companies' transition under the big changes of energy situations,and also providing reasonable suggestions according to current energy technology.This thesis is talking about the strategy definition,determinants,effects,and the relations of determinants and transitions through a typical case of a growing company.Analyzing the growing pattern and current situation including internal and external environment of Binhai Thermal Power Co.,Ltd.,it also provides a direct and all-sided view about the company's survival environment,business value-chain and core competence from different perspectives.On the basis of the case,supported by the company transition strategy theory,the new strategies are formulated and refined according to the actual situation of Binhai Thermal Power Co.,Ltd.At the end of the thesis,it makes a conclusion about specific measurements and the risks controls,and at the same time gives some operating adjustments.This thesis makes it clear that strengthening foundation,innovation and leadership are the essentials in company transition,which are concluded by deep analyzing in the case of Binhai Thermal Power Co.,Ltd.And it is also believed that they have referential value for other thermal power company transition.
