The dynamic performance of engine gear train has an important influence on the reliability of gears,and it is also an important source of engine noise.The research on dynamic performance of engine gear train has important guiding significance for engine transmission design,reliability research and noise reduction.This paper is based on the background of a light diesel engine pneumatic brake modification design.As the gear train increases the gear transmission of the pump,the load of the original gear train increases and the dynamic performance changes.It is necessary to confirm whether the gear train can meet the operation requirements of the new engine.In this paper,the gear train of the engine is analyzed and studied as follows:1)Conceptual design of the original engine,adding air pump transmission in the gear system of the original engine,coMParing two different air pump layout schemes,and choosing one scheme to use EXCITE software to establish the dynamic model of the engine gear system,loading analysis according to the force of each gear of the engine,and finally obtaining the corresponding teeth.Maximum meshing force of wheels.Compared with the original machine,the meshing force of each gear increases slightly.2)According to the calculation results of meshing force and the information of material characteristics,parameters and dimensions of gears,KISSsoft software is used to analyze and calculate the tooth surface safety factor and root safety factor of each gear.Compared with the original engine,there is no significant change,which can meet the allowable safety factor.The next step of gear design optimization with higher safety factor is determined.3)On the surface of endurance test of pneumatic brake engine,the shape and wear of gears after endurance are similar to that of the original engine;the noise level of pneumatic brake engine is slightly deteriorated after testing,and the optimization scheme of noise reduction by adding a sound insulation cover on the gear chamber cover is put forward.
