A well-designed diesel engine test platform is an infrastructure for studying the integrated performance of diesel engines.For the purpose of further studying the performance and emission characteristics of TBD234V6 and OED483 Q diesel engines,the design and research of the test platform were carried out from the aspects of platform design,test equipment selection and test verification,and then the design of the whole diesel engine test platform was completed.First of all,site arrangement and theoretical verification calculation were carried out for the composition systems of the diesel engine test platform.The display and design of platform laboratory foundation,diesel engine layout,lifting steel beams and fire evacuation were finished by using CAD,PIMS,CorelDraw and other graphic software.Meanwhile,MorGain software was applied to verify the strength of concrete foundation,and the calculation result was proved to accord with the strength of concrete C30.The dial indicator method was chosen for the straight alignment of shafting and the alignment value was checked to be within 0.2mm,which met the requirements of elastic coupling assembly.Lifting steel beam strength verification was used to prove that the strength and stiffness of the No.25 I-beam girder could meet the load.The pipeline calculation was finished to work out the water,fuel and oil system specific pipe diameter,which could meet flow rate requirements.And then the ventilation calculation was done to figure out the specific exhaust heat transfer value.Next,an appropriate test equipment and installation program were chosen by analyzing and researching the test platform power,smoke,exhaust,combustion and fuel consumption test systems.Dynamometer was selected to match the diesel engine output;smoke meter,exhaust gas analyzer,combustion analyzer and fuel consumption meter were applied to meet the diesel engine operating parameters measurement requirements.Lastly,the test platform of diesel engine was debugged.The diesel engine test was designed to verify the rationality of TBD234V6 and OED483 Q diesel engine test platform.The test data has shown that the test platform is designed and constructed reasonably and correctly,the speed measurement error: ?±1r/min,the torque measurement error: ?±1%,the test fuel consumption error: within 3%,the power error: within 1%,and NOX emission value is also reasonable.Thus,this test platform has been verified to meet the TBD234V6 and OED483 Q performance and emission test research.
