Based on the protection of famous cultural tourism towns in Shaanxi Province and the construction of characteristic towns,taking the sense of space as the breakthrough point and taking Chaoyi cultural tourism town in Dali county as an example,this paper analyzes the general situation of Chaoyi cultural tourism town,excavates the regional gene which influencs the sense of space of Chaoyi famous cultural tourism town,measures the Local Sense of the Users which includes Local Residents and Foreign Tourists in Chaoyi Cultural tourism town,explores the planning and design strategy of Chaoyi cultural tourism town based on user’s sense of space.Firstly,this paper discusses the overall status of Chaoyi cultural tourism town.This paper systematically combs the general situation of the development of Chaoyi cultural tourism towns,and summarizes the geographical location,natural conditions,socioeconomic,property resources and other aspects.At the same time,by analysing the restrictive conditions in the construction and development of Chaoyi cultural tourism town,it finds the many problems that the mining and inheritance of regional gene is not enough,the local characteristics of public space construction are not obvious,the current landscape features are not prominent,the homogenization of tourism products is serious,and the construction of local infrastructure lags behind.Secondly,the regional gene of Chaoyi cultural tourism town is studied and analyzed.Combining with the actual situation of Chaoyi cultural tourism town,this paper combes and Integrates the regional gene of Chaoyi cultural tourism towns.meanwhile,the regional gene of Chaoyi cultural tourism town is divided into material region gene and nonmaterial region gene.The material region gene can be subdivided into building space and detail gene,street space gene and spatial layout gene from point,line and plane level.From micro to macro aspects,the non-material region gene include behavioral activity gene,folklore etiquette gene and spiritual concept gene.At the same time,a genetic pedigree table is formed,which serves as the basis for measuring the users’ sense of place of Chaoyi cultural tourism town.Furthermore,we measure the users’ the sense of place of the famous cultural tourism town in Chaoyi.Based on the investigation of the famous Chaoyi cultural tourism town,the key regional gene affecting the sense of place of the users of the famous Chaoyi cultural tourism towns is determined by using the fuzzy comprehensive analysis method.In addition,the local sense of the different users(local residents,foreign tourists)for the famous Chaoyi cultural tourism town is measured,and the relationship between the local sense of the users and the local regional gene is explored,so as to better guide the planning and design of famous cultural tourism town in Chaoyi.Finally,the strategies of planning and design of Chaoyi cultural tourism town based on users’ sense of place are put forward.From the aspects of local building space construction,local street space continuation,local space layout inheritance,local tradition protection and local gene strengthening,this paper puts forward planning and design strategies which are beneficial for the inheritance and development of Chaoyi cultural tourism town,so as to maintain the authenticity,integrity and systematicness of the inheritance of cultural tourism town,and further strengthen the users’ sense of locality.
