Irrigation Works By City,Cities Live By Water

No matter big cities or small villages,people will choose suitable places to live in.For example,they tend to live in temperate climates,cling to productive plains,live in commercial rivers or lakes,and n the constant adaptation to the natural environment has formed the nature of urban siting is "building cities by water,living by water".Different distribution,function and proportion of urban water system,would directly affect the nature and development direction of the city.Such as the landscape city,its development relies on the landscape context,had formed a city mode by the perfect combination of urban environment and natural landscape environment.Due to the difference in geographical and cultural environment,the construction mechanism and spatial pattern of landscape city are unique and contains a high cultural value.However,with the development of modernization,globalization and urbanization,the speed and scale of city construction are far more than the adaptability of natural landscapes,which leads to a series of problems,such as the loss of characteristics of urban landscape,the dysfunction of natural environment,and the relationship between man and nature has deteriorated.Therefore,effective solutions are urgently needed.Guilin is located on the edge of wuling and lijiang river,surrounded by mountains and with flat terrain in the middle,it is a typical landscape city.Taking Guilin as an example,and based on previous studies,this paper attempts to analyze the evolution process and indigenous path of Guilin's urban landscape pattern with space syntax,in order to provide reference for the study of shanshui city.The results as follows:(1)According to the historical data and city map,the paper analyzes Guilin's natural environment,urban environment and cultural environment,and finds that the urban landscape pattern of Guilin in different periods is except slight differences,and the evolution of water system and urban pattern complement each other.This provides the basic material support for the feasibility and necessity of the research.(2)Quantitative analysis of the evolution of Guilin's urban landscape elements with space syntax,the degree of integration,selectivity and intelligibility as quantitative factors,analyzes the formation and evolution process of landscape pattern of Guilin combined with natural geography and human geography,and proves the key role of water system conditions in the forming process of landscape city of Guilin.(3)Combined with the historical background and spatial syntax,it is speculated that the Indigenous path of Urban landscape pattern in landscape city of Guilin has four stages: the evolution along the river axis,the expansion of single central circle,the expansion of river axis and circle,and the development of circle and double center collaboration.And put forward the future strategy of the indigenous path of Urban landscape pattern in landscape city of Guilin.Throughout the history,Guilin's natural landscape and urban environment have been a construction relationship of fusion symbiosis.the internal and external factors and characteristics of the formation and evolution of the spatial pattern of Guilin landscape city have certain reference significance for the construction and cultural extension of landscape city.
