As one of the most important parts in mechanical field,the box parts have the characteristics of complex structure,multiple function needed and high machining precision requirement.In the process of design and manufacture of box parts,the existing serial working mode has disadvantages in product design and manufacturing efficiency,product quality and development cost,which has become increasingly unable to meet the new era of the design and manufacture of box parts demand.In order to solve these problems,this paper studies the key technology of the manufacturability of box parts by using the concurrent engineering model.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)This paper describes the relevant auxiliary technologies of the box parts manufacturability evaluation technology,including the box design model expression technology based on the unified data model which provides the design information for the manufacturability evaluation,the feature recognition method which transforms the design feature into the manufacturing feature.The structural characteristics of the box parts are analyzed,the manufacturing characteristics of the typical box parts are classified,and the manufacturing process of box parts is designed.(2)The process constraint criteria commonly used for box parts are combed.According to the evaluation content and structural characteristics,these process constraint criteria are divided into two major categories and five sub-categories of structural evaluation rules for each type of structural evaluation rules defined modular form of expression.Through the construction of data dictionary and evaluation assistant algorithm,the concept of manufacturing characteristic data dictionary information model is put forward,and the rule base of structure process evaluation of box parts is established.(3)Based on the completion of the structural process evaluation rule base,the concept of manufacturing feature instance data model is defined.Then,based on the common support of manufacturing feature instance data model,manufacturing feature data dictionary information model,evaluation assistant algorithm and structure process evaluation rule base,an evaluation execution algorithm is developed for each class of evaluation rules,and the structure of box parts Process evaluation.(4)Based on the characteristics of the bridge,a method based on constraint and casebased method is proposed to evaluate the manufacturing feasibility of the box parts.The method is based on the characteristic decomposition of the feasibility of the box manufacturing method,by defining the decomposition of the complex features of the basic characteristics of the method.And proposes a manufacturing resource modeling method according to the demand.(5)Based on the theoretical research of this paper,C++ is used to develop the manufacturability evaluation system of the box parts for the secondary development of Pro/E.The correctness of the method and the usability of the system are verified by the example operation.
