The Appearance Design Of North American Forklift By Sany Group

Since the reform and opening up,China’s economy has achieved a qualitative leap.With the construction of engineering projects,the related construction machinery industry has developed by leaps and bounds and the use of construction vehicles have gradually increased.With the rise of the logistics industry,forklifts as the main trucks are used in terminals,containers,and major transportation centers.The demand for the forklifts market is increasing year by year which means forklift industry is facing enormous opportunities and challenges.Nowadays,major companies continue to expand their influence in various ways,especially in establishing corporate brand culture,extending DNA of brand,and establishing family product inheritance.Innovation and inheritance are advancing to promote China’s construction machinery industry to the world’s top stage.SANY group is one of the leading enterprises in heavy industry in China.Since its establishment,SANY has been adhering to the spirit of “Quality Change the World” and has created a large number of high-quality products.It created the unique corporate image and product representation of SANY in a long history.Our task which provided by SANY is designing a new product that meets the North American market which based on the original forklift products.On the premise of continuing the characteristics of its family products,we should enrich the product modeling language,broaden the share of Trinity Forklift brand in overseas market,and promote the excellent concept of made in China.This paper is based on the 13 T North American forklift design project which is cooperated by SANY and HNU school of design.The project was described mainly from four stages: One is setting design goals that according to the project task book and division of tasks.Next,according to the research and analysis of the competing products,we get the development trend of the forklift appearance for achieving the goal of iteration design of 13 T forklift truck products.Then evaluate and analyze all project scenarios(from concept divergence to final project generation).Finally,we have a summary of the entire project process to help our team understand thatindustrial design plays a very important role in the production process of products.Also we explore the problems encountered in this process and record the author’s experience.
