Traditional Village Protection And Planning Design

Traditional villages are precious heritage on the land of China,which inherits thousands of history and splendid culture of the Chinese nation.As part of the national costume,whether material or non-material,traditional villages can be regarded as the true portrayal of the long-term development of Chinese farming civilization.Due to its cultural status and historical value unparalleled in history,it is of vital to protect the traditional villages.With the rapid development of urbanization of China,many traditional villages are gradually disappearing.Therefore,maintaining the authenticity and vitality of traditional villages along with developing traditional villages have become one of important subjects in the modern world.In the basis of background and significance of traditional villages,as well as the recent research at home and abroad,this paper expounds the strategies of cases,at home and abroad,aimed at protecting and planning traditional villages.This paper summarizes the concept of traditional villages and proceeds with the related theories of traditional village protection and planning.Take Sandaogou Village in Chaoyang City,Liaoning Province as the research object,this paper explores the strategies of protecting and planning traditional villages and provides suggestions for traditional village landscape planning and design.This paper studies the current situation of the protection of the traditional villages in Sandaogou Village and analyses the present situation of the villages from two aspects,they are the village organization form and the public space form.Through the analysis of the geographic conditions,resource condition and base status of Sandaogou Village in Chaoyang City,Liaoning Province,together with SWOT analysis of the site.Moreover,the strategies of village protection and planning and design are put forward accordingly.In the process of protecting and designing villages,we should make full use of the natural and human resources of villages by developing rural tourism,establishing squares and other public spaces,protecting and renewing the original traditional buildings for ensuring the harmonious development of economy,history,culture of village.For the protection and development of traditional villages,we should respect the wholeness of the space,respect the lifestyle of residents,improve the living standards and comfort of residents,and pay attention to the inheritance of traditional culture and spiritual context.Considering various factors,we should formulate a reasonable long-term protection and development strategy.This study provides a new views for traditional village Protection and Planning.
