Research On The Application Of Loft Style In Hotels With The Theme Of Renovation Of Waste Factory

China’s urbanization process is forging ahead in an accelerating way,and the industrial structure in urban area has changed as well.Standing against such situation,those previously-established companies located in city center tend to move to other places,hoping to upgrade production techniques,improve product quality,lower rental fee on the land use or resume their market competition,which has caused a lot of abandonment and vacancy of old factories.With the requirement of economic and social restructure,enlarging development possibility and perfecting city function,the transformation and reutilization of old factory as a result becomes a subject that is worthy of being studied.At the same time,with the living standard and consumption ability of the public increasingly growing,people begin to pursue a stylish hotel living experience,which pushes hotels to pay attention to the development of their own features.Those worn-out factories that carry on the industrial civilization and their unique Loft style can make hotel space radiate a special charm.Thus transforming old industrial buildings into hotels becomes a growing trend.Taking the abandoned factory houses as the research subject,this paper mainly focuses on the inner factors that contribute to the turning of old industrial buildings into hotel rooms,and how to present loft style in the transformed spaces.A conclusion was made at first in this paper about the aesthetic value and common feature of old factory buildings based on a detailed illustration on loft style and abandoned industrial house’s characteristics as well as some analysis of existing domestic cases.Then a description of the conception and feature of theme hotel was given,and the author also provided some design and implementing strategies about how to transform the old houses into theme hotel.At last,the author took the case of Shanghai XinJie Fang Factory to illustrate the main points listed in the paper,and sum up all the findings.Meanwhile,the author also expressed his hope that this paper could be a valuable reference to other scholars and provide some effective methods.
