In the 21st century,the rapid development of China's economy and the acceleration of urbanization have brought many problems,such as traffic congestion and land shortage,which have seriously restricted the development of cities.In this context,it is particularly critical to make a good transition from extensive development to intensive development.The rapid development of commercial complexes is under the background of intensive land use and three-dimensional space.Unfortunately,the high-frequency traffic congestion,noise and exhaust pollution caused by traditional public transport have become difficult to solve.The outstanding advantages of subway have become the first choice to solve these problems.The development of Metro in China's northern cities such as Guangzhou and Shenzhen is relatively mature.Although many metro lines are still in the planning and construction,the underground network has been formed as a whole.Compared with the new metro cities like Xi'an,its development is still in the exploratory stage.Under this background,commercial complex and metro are breaking through their own blocked state and gradually turning to three-dimensional and composite development direction as a new multi-level,multi-factor open system.Then,the space boundaries between the two gradually become blurred,showing a state of blending with each other.At this time,the connection space between the commercial complex and the subway station came into being.Connecting space is the intersection point of metro passenger flow and commercial passenger flow line.It also has traffic function and transfer passenger flow function Connecting space has an important impact on commercial complex and Metro station,and is also an important part of later construction or transformation of commercial complex.On the whole,the overall situation of the research on connection space related design is in the initial stage in China,and there is no mature theory and design method to support engineering practice.As a result,the connection quality between commercial complex and metro station in major cities in China is also uneven.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to draw lessons from the design experience of countries with mature space development and related policies to elaborate the enlightenment to our country.At the same time,starting from field research,this paper analyses the connection mode of typical cases in the first-tier cities where the design of connecting space is relatively mature,analyses the form of connecting space from different angles,and summarizes the factors affecting the design of connecting space.Finally,taking the new Metro City as an example,by investigating the connecting space between the key stations and the commercial complex of Xi'an Metro Line 2,the existing problems of connecting space are summarized.Taking Xiaozhai station as an example,the design method of connecting space is attempted to be summarized,hoping to have some enlightenment to the relevant engineering practice.The purpose of this paper is to provide some references for the design of connecting space,avoid the problems arising from the lack of attention to the design of connecting space in the previous construction process,and hope that relevant departments and designers will pay attention to the supervision and design of connecting space.
