With the ever-changing world situation,countries are paying more and more attention to the research of military weapons.The battlefield reconnaissance radar can monitor the situation ahead,avoiding greater losses and casualties,and plays a decisive role in the victory of the war.As an important part of the radar system,the antenna is directly related to the working state and performance of the radar.Therefore,the research and design of the reconnaissance radar antenna has important theoretical significance and practical value.The microstrip array antenna has some attractive performance,such as small size,light weight.The excellent characteristics of processing have officially become an excellent solution for the battlefield reconnaissance radar antenna system.The working principle of the individual reconnaissance radar system and the related theory of the microstrip antenna are firstly analysed in this paper.Firstly,based on the working characteristics of the reconnaissance radar system,the specific index parameters of the radar front-end antenna work are determined,and then the relevant theoretical knowledge of the microstrip antenna is used.Based on the index parameters,the design scheme of the rectangular microstrip array antenna is proposed.The current series and parallel combination are used to design the feed network.The feed is finally adopted by the coaxial feed mode.The feed adopts the back feed method.The advantages of the feed compared to the side feed are analyzed.Finally,a microstrip array antenna with a transceiver antenna array printed on the same dielectric layer is designed.The physical processing has been completed in this paper.The test of the antenna shows that the Ka-band transceiver antenna has an isolation of more than 30 dB at the center frequency of 35 GHz,the transmit antenna gain is 24.22 dB,the impedance bandwidth is 1.4GHz,and the horizontal beamwidth is4.8°,the vertical beamwidth is 22°,while the gain of the receiving antenna is kept above 22 dB,the impedance bandwidth is 1.4GHz,the horizontal beamwidth is 6°,and the vertical beamwidth is 16°.The original intention of the design has been reached in the subject.The antenna designed in this paper can be used in the actual battlefield light reconnaissance radar system,and all performance indicators meet the design requirements,which further lays a foundation for the research of the subsequent microstrip array antenna.
