Astudy On Contemporary Changes Of Northern Shaanxi Cave Building Skills

Cave dwelling in northern Shaanxi province is a kind of residential architecture with regional characteristics.These changes in northern Shaanxi society has had a profound impact.At present,the academic circle has not paid enough attention to and studied the problems related to cave cave construction technique and its contemporary changes in northern Shaanxi,so it is necessary to conduct comprehensive and in-depth research on it.Cave architecture and its techniques still exist in the society of northern Shaanxi,which provides the most important basic conditions for academic research.On the basis of literature search and research review,combined with sufficient field research materials,this paper focuses on three types of cave kiln construction techniques and their contemporary changes in northern Shaanxi,including cave kiln,stone cave kiln and pure stone cave kiln.Through observation,interview and research on cave architecture and its construction techniques in G village(field point)in northern Shaanxi,it is found that the contemporary changes of cave architecture techniques in northern Shaanxi are mainly reflected in the transformation of cave kiln to stone cave kiln and stone cave kiln to pure stone cave kiln.To be specific,the technical changes in the process from cave kiln to stone cave kiln are mainly reflected in the following two aspects : increased the skills of stone and other building materials for the cave kiln.increased the skills of overhanging eaves for cave dwellings,but it was relatively rare.The technical changes in the process from stone cave kiln to stone cave kiln are mainly reflected in the following two aspects :stone is used as the main building material for the whole body of stone cave kiln,instead of stone on the foundation of cave kiln,which increases the skills of ring kiln;modern building decoration techniques are widely applied to pure stone caves.At the same time,during the transition from cave dwelling to stone cave dwelling and from stone cave dwelling to pure stone cave dwelling,the cave dwelling architecture in northern Shaanxi also shows the following coherence in terms of techniques :the three types of cave dwelling architecture in northern Shaanxi all use the principle of arch tension and maintain arch in terms of architectural appearance;the three types of cave dwellings in northern Shaanxi have maintained continuity in terms of lighting and heating,without too many changes.These continuity ensure that the contemporary cave cave architecture techniques in northern Shaanxi are changing while retaining some traditional architectural elements.The contemporary series changes of cave cave architecture in northern Shaanxi are coordinated with the social changes in northern Shaanxi.After the founding of new China,especially since the reform and opening up,the social and economic development in northern Shaanxi laid the most important material foundation for the contemporary development and transformation of cave cave construction techniques in northern Shaanxi.On the contrary,the contemporary development and vicissitude of cave cave construction technology in northern Shaanxi have improved the living standard of people in northern Shaanxi.In addition,because the party central committee in Yan ’an 13 years and general secretary Xi Jinping in the seven years of the Liangjiahe cave as living buildings,so in addition to the basic residential function of the cave building in northern Shaanxi,also has the red education function and red tourism function,with the Chinese communist party and China’s construction cause has established a close relationship.At the same time,with the rapid development of urbanization,cave dwellings in northern Shaanxi have become an important material guarantee for people going out from rural areas in northern Shaanxi to "retain homesickness".Although the technique of cave building in northern Shaanxi has not been lost,it is undoubtedly faced with great challenges of inheritance and development.It is necessary to artificially protect the cave kiln construction techniques in northern Shaanxi for the sake of protecting the traditional art culture and revitalizing the countryside,as well as for the sake of developing red tourism and red education.
