Research On Renewal Design Of Urban Street Rest Space Based On Environmental Behavior

The urban street space is an urban compound space that integrates transportation functions and public communication.While providing a path for the public,it also carries people's diverse and complex communication activities.However,with the continuous improvement of China's urbanization level,street construction emphasizes the circulation function but the function as a city public space is gradually missing.The rest space plays an important role in urban streets.It can not only allow pedestrians to rest,but also inspire interactions among residents which promote it to become a necessary part of high-quality streets.However,there are many problems in the current street rest space,for instance insufficient space,unreasonable space layout,lack of human considerations,and poor integration with the street environment,etc.,which lead to the inability of residents to meet their leisure needs and lack of participation in the street environment.People's sense of belonging and access to the streets and the city is getting lower and lower,causing problems such as reduced social life in the city and reduced vitality of the street environment.Therefore,in terms of of environmental behavior,this article will analyze the interactive relationship between the environment and behavior of the urban street rest space from the two aspects of spatial behavior theory and environmental cognitive theory,and uses this as the theoretical support to analyze the rest space type and the research on the status quo problems which finally leads to effective updating design strategies and methods for the problems.This paper aims to change the gap between street space and people through the renovation and transformation of the current situation of insufficient street rest space,and make it into a high-quality rest space that is closely related to the elements of the street and can meet people's material and spiritual needs.Furthermore,it promotes the construction of street space in the direction of humanization and quality.The full text is divided into five chapters:The first chapter elaborates the background of the research,the definition of the research object,the purpose and significance of the research,the relevant research at home and abroad,and the main research content and research methods,and draws the technical route of the research.The second chapter elaborates the correlation between street rest space and environmental behavior theory,and analyzes behavior,psychological needs,spatial cognition,etc.,of the rest space based on the two theoretical levels of spatial behavior and environmental cognition.Finally a basic theoretical system for subsequent spatial analysis will be formed.Chapter three,based on the study of environmental behavior theory,surveyed a largenumber of urban street visits with different environmental types,and sorted out the street rest space from multiple angles,and then based on three levels of spatial behavior,street integration and environmental cognition The investigation and analysis of the current situation of open space and a series of typical,extensive,and common status issues.The fourth chapter,corresponding to the problems raised in the previous chapter,we puts forward corresponding strategies and methods for space updating and promotion,starting from the three contents of space layout,space combination and space refinement design,and strives to form a set of valuable and scientific design methods for street rest space from three aspects of micro,meso and macro.The final chapter,taking the updated design of the rest space of Yunjing East Road in Tongzhou District as a design practice,analyzes and investigates the streets in sections,and makes a lot of analysis of the current environment and behavioral needs of its rest space.Meanwhile,based on the design of the previous chapter principles and methods,we figure out the corresponding scheme design to verify the feasibility of strategies and methods.
