With the rapid development of urban infrastructure construction,gas pipelines have been connected to every household.However,for many estate where gas pipelines were installed in the early days,meter reading workers are facing the problem of regular door-to-door meter reading.This meter reading method is not only inefficient,but also the meter reading data is difficult to analyze and statistics,it is impossible to accurately collect gas consumption for one month.To solve this problem,after researching the existing meter reading schemes,our research institute proposed a data acquisition method of the meter head by the optical meter head optical acquisition device,which was periodically transmitted to the collection point of the corridor via wireless after encoding,and was handheld,decodes readings after the signal processing device is connected to the acquisition point.This method is low in cost and easy to popularize,and can effectively solve the problems existing in the existing meter reading method.This dissertation designs and implements part of the handheld acquisition device in this new meter reading method.Because of the meter head data collected by the meter head optical collection device is wirelessly transmitted to the corridor collection point,it will be subject to various types of interference and error codes,so the data needs to be encoded before transmission.This solution uses the BCH code in the error control coding,which has the function of error detection and correction.After the handheld acquisition device is connected to the acquisition point in the corridor,the data stored in the acquisition point is obtained.The DSP chip in the handheld device decodes it.The BM algorithm is used for decoding.The decoded binary number is converted into a decimal number and displayed on the screen,which is the gas meter reading.The decoded readings can be saved in the device and exported after being connected to a computer in the future.The data can also be uploaded to the server of the gas company through wireless network to facilitate the gas company's statistical analysis.At the same time,in order to make the handheld device have better hardware versatility,the encoding function for the BCH code is also added.Use the keyboard to input the numbers to be encoded on the handheld device,and then select the information bit length and codelength to perform binary BCH encoding and output,which can make the handheld device applicable to more fields.On the hardware,the handheld device adopts a cooperative processing scheme of an ARM chip and a DSP chip.The ARM chip is mainly used to control the handheld device,and the DSP chip is used to perform encoding and decoding operations.This dissertation proposes a new meter reading method for mechanical gas meters in old estate,designs and implements a handheld acquisition device in the new meter reading method.The handheld acquisition device adopts the scheme of ARM and DSP dual processor working together.For the first time,the binary BCH code can encoded and decoded on a handheld device,which improves the performance on the basis of low power consumption.The handheld device has better compatibility and versatility,provide a platform for future equipment upgrades.At the same time,this solution has greatly reduced various costs,has good practical value,and provides important reference value and significance for the upgrade and reconstruction of gas meters in old estate.
