| Folk ancestral temples are the treasures of local architecture,representing the highest artistic and technological level of traditional folk architecture in the vast rural areas of China,and also representing the economic and cultural level of the ancestral temples in the region.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,folk ancestral temples began to rise in various regions and left a large number of remains,which provided valuable samples for us to study folk local architecture.With the state’s attention to the protection of local architecture,academia began to do special research on ancestral temple buildings in various regions,and a lot of achievements have been achieved.In Hubei area,the research on ancestral temple buildings is mostly concentrated in southeastern Hubei,while the ancestral temple buildings in northwestern Hubei lack relevant achievements and information.However,through preliminary investigation,the author found that there are a certain number of ancestral temples in Northwest Hubei.These ancestral temples are scattered everywhere,and the protection situation is not ideal.Therefore,the author hopes to make a systematic summary and Research on the folk ancestral temples built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Northwest Hubei through this paper.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the background and significance of the paper,and defines the space and time scope of the research object.It is clear that the research of this paper is based on the northwest area of Hubei as its regional background,with the Ming and Qing Dynasties as its time dimension,under this Limited condition,through field surveying and mapping research,data collation,comparative research and other research methods.The folk ancestral temples in Northwest Hubei are systematically and comprehensively summarized and sorted out.The second chapter is a general discussion of the geographical characteristics,historical origins and cultural characteristics of Northwest Hubei.It also discusses the origin of ancestral temples in Northwest Hubei in the light of the rise process of folk ancestral temples in Ming and Qing Dynasties,and makes relevant collation of the investigation results of the present situation of ancestral temples.Chapter three,mainly from the aspects of the orientation of ancestral temple and the relationship between ancestral temple and residence,the layout of ancestral temple,the form of ancestral temple monomer building,the spatial characteristics of ancestral temple monomer and the overall spatial characteristics,in order to make a thorough summary of the architectural layout and spatial characteristics of the folk ancestral temple in Northwest Hubei,and discuss the geographical and cultural factors behind it.The fourth chapter is mainly divided into two parts,namely,the architectural art and technology of the folk ancestral temples in Northwest Hubei.The former mainly discusses the external features of the ancestral temples,three carvings and decorative elements,color system and color painting,decorative themes and cultural implications,while the latter discusses the selection of building materials,the characteristics of wood structure and the maintenance of structural features.The combination of three and four chapters is a summary of the research on the architectural form and spatial characteristics of folk ancestral temples in Northwest Hubei.The fifth chapter is a summary of the status quo of protection in Northwest Hubei,which leads to thinking about the protection of ancestral temples and puts forward the protection principles and strategies.Finally,in the concluding part,a brief summary and summary of the research results are made. |
