“The Window City”

This thesis makes a historical retrospect of the construction pattern of landscape and architectural space in Shenzhen OCT,which forms its physical features and brand spreading from Shenzhen to the whole country,in order to summarize its characteristics which to some extent reflect how Shenzhen and contemporary Chinese city were built up.This thesis discusses the birth and construction process of OCT,the man-made scenic spot of OCT and OCT-LOFT.The first part clarifies the origin and nature of OCT,and then traces its construction process historically and summarizes its characteristics.The second part analyses the composition and characteristics of the three scenic spots of "Splendid China","China Folk Culture Village" and "Window of the World".The third part traces back the origin of the idea of transforming the old industrial district into OCT-LOFT and analyses the characteristics of planning and construction of OCT-LOFT from the perspective of design.Finally,combined with three parts,the building characteristics of OCT are summarized as follows: the independent development of enterprise,the highlighting of the function of "tourism" and the performance of city renewal represented by OCT-LOFT.It is pointed out that the material space branch of OCT real estate brand from Shenzhen to the whole country is composed of scenic spots,natural environment,and residence.
