In China,industrial heritage has gradually become a hot spot of heritage protection into the public view in recent decades.There is a great deal of information in the records of industrial heritage,among which material heritage records are mainly drawings and words for buildings,workshops and production equipment of industrial heritage;non-material heritage records are mainly documentary images and words for technological processes,work organization forms,historical memories.These two types of recorded information are too professional and trivial for the public to form a systematic understanding of these words and two-digit images,which makes it difficult to correctly understand the connotation and value of the heritage,which is the legacy of the present industrial heritage and modern architecture The research of production record method needs to be solved.And 3D visualization is a kind of scientific method which is applied to many subject fields,and realizes the transformation of text and 2D information into intuitive and accurate 3D information model through digital technology.Therefore,3D visualization is an effective way to help the public to recognize and understand the value of industrial heritage."buildings Of Shaanxi Old Steel works " belongs to the former Shaanxi old steel factory in the east of Xi'an,and is one of the historical buildings announced by the Xi'an Municipal Government.Since the construction of Shaanxi old steel works Plant in1950 s,after many periods,it has kept abundant archives and historical images.This paper takes buildings Of Shaanxi Old Steel works as an example to realize the effective transmission of its industrial heritage connotation and value to the public through thetransformation of digital technology into a public intuitive and easy-to-read 3D visualization model based on its rich heritage information.The first part of the paper is the basic research of industrial heritage information record,which summarizes the subjects,records and recording tools contained in the records of cultural heritage and industrial heritage information in international and domestic regulations and practice cases.The second part is the application of 3D visualization in the field of cultural heritage.Through the study of visualization in the field of existing heritage,we find the concrete application of 3D visualization in the field of cultural heritage.3D visualization can explain and interpret the letter of cultural heritage by digitizing historical information Information resources.Through the three-dimensional visualization of heritage information,we can solve the information processing and display of heritage and the interpretation of historical,artistic,cultural and scientific value of heritage itself.By comparing three-dimensional visualization and studying various digital modeling methods,it is determined that sketch up software is very suitable for building three-dimensional model of industrial heritage record information because of its simple and easy to master characteristics.The third part takes buildings Of Shaanxi Old Steel works as an example,according to the Shaanxi old steel works history development divides into the birth,the development,the bankruptcy,the transformation reuse period four periods,through the data reading and the field investigation combs the four periods surrounding environment,the building,the non-construction Based on the value evaluation and Sketch up software,the material and cultural heritage related record information is constructed to realize the 3D visual transformation between the text of heritage record information and two-dimensional pictures effectively,to restore the historical scene,and to present its heritage value intuitively.It provides a good case study for its further application in modern heritage recording information method.
