The teaching of aircraft engine test occupies an important position in the national education of training aviation talents.However,the real engine test has disadvantages of high risk factor,engine damage and high cost.Therefore,colleges and institutions choose a safe and cheap way to teach students via engine virtual test platform.In terms of virtual engine test,the virtual test platform based on the 2D view can not stimulate students’ interest in learning because of its low immersion.In order to pursue the quality of teaching,the virtual test platform developed based on 3D view and VR technology has gradually become the mainstream.Although VR technology improves the immersion of students,it is not widely used in colleges and universities due to its expensive equipment.Therefore,the virtual test platform based on the 3D view becomes the first choice.The existing 3D test platforms have a low degree of simulation in the current state of the engine,the propeller,engine smoke,sound effects and so on,which can not give students intuitive sense and leads to low teaching efficiency.From the point of view of these simulations,this paper puts forward a new set of virtual test platform design schemes,and develops the corresponding finished software,and finally tests its function and performance.The work of this article is as follows:(1)In order to improve the physical authenticity of the simulation platform,this paper researches on the simulation of the internal connecting rod and piston motion state of the engine,the visual effect of the running state of the engine propeller,the simulation of the engine fault smoke effect and the simulation of the running audio effect,and studies them as the key technologies respectively.Finally,the effects of propeller and smoke are simulated by programmed material and SPH algorithm.Based on the mechanical motion principle of connecting rod and piston,the mathematical model of connecting rod and piston is established.According to the characteristics of blasting audio in engine cylinder,a new method of engine audio synthesis based on continuous speed audio is proposed,which greatly improves the sound feedback experience of engine in normal and failure.These simulation effects appear for the first time in the same type of simulation platforms.(2)Through in-depth discussion and analysis of the teaching purpose,content,user groups and user experience of the platform,combined with the knowledge of the engine components and the process of engine test,the teaching content that the virtual test platform should have is clarified.Then,according to the clear teaching content,the functional requirements that the platform should cover are defined.(3)Using the UML modeling language,the use case diagram,class diagram and timing diagram of the platform are summarized.The platform submodules are divided,and the UI,data read and write,and module processes of the submodules are designed in detail.(4)According to the functional requirements and the completed key technology research,Unity3 D is used to develop and complete the virtual commissioning platform,and perform functional and performance tests on it.This paper has developed a three-dimensional simulation teaching and training platform for virtual engine test,which not only solves the problem of real engine test,but also researches on some key technical difficulties that occur during engine simulation.The platform has the characteristics of low cost,excellent simulation effect and rich teaching content,which greatly stimulated the students’ interest in learning and improved the teaching quality of the school.
