In the process of education,especially at the college level, it’s more and more important to cultivate students’ability of independent learning and autonomous learning.However,in the current university circumstances, the majority of professors are mediocre:they are content with just presenting the required course material and calling it a day. Result in very little contract between teachers and students, vulnerable to students learning motivation and goal. This knowledge does not translate into insight efficiently. By learning on our own, With the help of virtual experiment teaching system, we can find informal teachers everywhere, and can focus on things that we can actually use; Used virtual experiment teaching system, we can encourage students’inquiry, demonstrate the value inherent in the process of learning. This system is helpful for students to leap from knowledge to simulation study. Besides, we can truly established experiment teaching system of theory teaching-virtual simulation-laboratory teaching.This paper based on the research of virtual simulation teaching system, used Unity3D development engine and 3ds Max, SolidWorks to set up a realistic and easy to operate, interactive virtual experimental teaching system of hydraulic transmission. The virtual simulation teaching system guided by the constructivism, not only achieve the type hydraulic component’s simulation of result, feedback of result of phenomenon,but also introduce the knowledge from point to plane, the corresponding basic loop and hydraulic system. This system’s main function is to allow user to use the smallest unit of virtual instrument to complete the assemble of basic circuits and typical hydraulic system, through interaction and clicking the corresponding button or keyboard operation to realize real-time and free freedom to observe the function of including hydraulic system, hydraulic circuit and the main hydraulic components, besides we also set up special inspection module, so that we can completely independent to achieve the purpose of self-study, self-exam, self- find, self-think, further progress advanced learning institution transference, more conducive to the students grasp of knowledge. On the smallest component unit, we also can control the split of hydraulic components and assembly, in addition, we also can be any parts of hydraulic components magnification, which is helpful to further understand its working principle and structure. The major task of this paper includes:1.Briefly introduced the background and characteristics of virtual simulation teaching system, besides introduces the main achievements of virtual simulation system.2.Shortly introduced the characteristics of Unity3D development platform and expounds the Unity3D and prospects of development of virtual simulation system.3.Designed the design of the whole system development process, and the virtual simulation teaching system structure design and function design.4.Confirmed the key step to realize the virtual simulation teaching system, including the establishment of the model and optimization, collision detection, interface design and optimization, scripts, optimization, etc..5.Hydraulic drive is divided into hydraulic components, basic circuit and typical hydraulic system, introduced the function of all level, in addition to, introduced the typical cases analysis and implements step. The different between the virtual simulation teaching system including increase the participants’interaction and experience and has timely, good ability and accurate feedback about the same as the real experiment. In addition, this system has the simple interface and easy to operate, strong scalability, in the subsequent, we also can increase the collaborative experiment mode,etc.
