Analysis Of The Confucian Temple And Academy Garden In Qing Dynasty Of Yueyang

The ancient Chinese education system was dominated by Confucian temples and academies,with a large number and wide distribution.The study of Confucian Temple Academy involves many fields,covering educational history,ideological history,architecture,and garden in China.The Confucian Temple and Academy pay attention to the choice of environment,showing the characteristics of gardening.In Hunan province people have always attached great importance to education,then culture and education also developed rapidly from Song Dynasy until the late Qing Dynasty.In the Qing Dynasty,Hunan official schools and academies were distributed in various administrative region,and reaching unprecedented prosperity.Yueyang is located in the northeast of Hunan,with a long urban history and a unique regional culture.The existing Qing Confucian temples and academies in Yueyang are of higher value.This study focuses on specific periods and regions,and explores the intrinsic value and significance of Confucian temple and academy from the perspective of gardens,with a view to laying the foundation for subsequent research.This study combines literature research,field investigation and statistical analysis and other research methods,taking the Confucian Temple and Academy of Yueyang in Qing Dynasty as the research object,focusing on the analysis of their garden characteristics.The thesis consists of four parts:Part 1: The first chapter is the introduction,explaining the purpose and significance of the study,and explaining the concepts of the confucian temple garden and academy garden,and clarifying the main research scope and content.At the same time,the related research status is sorted out,and the main research perspectives and research methods are clarified,which provides a basic theoretical support for the research of this topic.Then put forward the research method of this article and the organization framework of the paper.Part 2: The second chapter is background research,which explains the time and geographical background of the research object.Combined with the existing examples of Confucian temple,it is confirmed with the literature research,starting with the spatial function and atmosphere.From the perspective of architecture,landscape,plants and sketches,it analyzes the typical landscape construction methods of the functional spaces of Confucian temples and academies.Part 3: Chapter three and Chapter four are the sub analysis of the Confucian temple garden and academy garden in Yueyang Qing Dynasty.It analysis gardens from the aspects of site selection,spatial layout,and framing elements to summarize their general common and regional characteristics,based on an overview of the characteristics of ancient Chinese confucian temple gardens and academy gardens,through the study of important literature such as local chronicles.And then it summarize its general common and regional characteristics.Furthermore,through field trips to Yuezhou confucian temple,Xiangyin confucian temple,and Tianyue academy,it makes more specific explanations and mutual evidence with literature research.Part 4: The fifth chapter is a comparative analysis of Yueyang Qing Dynasty confucian temple and acadamy gardens.The comparative analysis is carried out from three angles: 1.Comparing with the same kind of gardens in the same cultural area.2.Comparing with the same kind of gardens in different cultural areas.3.Comparing the two kinds of gardens in the local area(confucian temple garden and academy garden).It compares the distribution development,site selection,spatial layout and garden elements,in order to better reflect the uniqueness of Yueyang's confucian temple and academy garden.
