The Study On The Bridge Along The Ancient Road In HeYuan City

Road and bridge have been developing with the evolution of human civilization.Since Zhao Tuo established power in Longchuan in Qin Dynasty,Heyuan City,as one of the transportation hubs in south of the five ridges,has undertaken the important task of economic and cultural exchange and ethnic migration.On the basis of looking back the local historical background,the study takes the existing physical objects and ancient road bridges recorded in literature from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China as the research object,starting from the three levels of group,single body and component,and studying in three aspects of preparation planning,construction design and art.The purpose of this research was to explore multiple bridge architectural cultural characteristics.Due to the geographical factors,Heyuan City not only affected by the local Hakka culture and integrate the regional architectural characteristics of Guangfu culture.But also influenced by the area of Southern Jiangxi and Western Fujian and the She ethnic group.The introduction is not only the theoretical preparation for the research work,but also the method of type analysis.So that in the main part of the paper,the collected samples will be analyzed from two aspects of time and space,and the formal rules will be summarized.The second chapter to the fourth chapter is the mainly part of the dissertation,which summarize the whole construction process of bridges along the ancient roads in Heyuan City from three levels of region,group and single body.In the second chapter,from the perspective of preparatory planning,the author sorted out the three aspects of bridge construction,site selection and group layout,and analyzed the influence of the two factors of humanity and nature on the bridge group from the local records and physical objects.In the third chapter,the single building design of the bridge is discussed from three aspects: structural material,detail structure and bridge roof frame.The fourth chapter,from the artistic level to analyze the uniqueness of the bridge in the two aspects of modeling decoration and space construction.Based on the field survey and detailed interviews of 35 samples in the target area,combined with the local chronicles,genealogies,inscriptions and other ancient documents,this dissertation establishes the relationship between the micro samples and the macro context of the bridges along the ancient roads in Heyuan City,and summarizes the basis and law of its construction and design.In this study,many factors,such as economy,society,nature and technology,involved in the construction process of the bridge along the ancient roads in Heyuan City are logically combed,so as to provide its observation angle and analysis method in the process of preparation planning and construction design,and enrich the regional research and understanding of the bridge in Hakka area under the construction of traditional technology and materials.
