The main objective of this study is to achieve the efficiency of base isolation and shear wall for building structure with various structure systems, especially frame structure with shear wall and moment frame structure systems for 5,10,15 storey.Explicit to this investigation,to assess the efficiency of structure systems the main parameters will be the floor acceleration and interstorey drift ratio. Both structural and non-structural damages that occur in building structure systems are straightforwardly identified with these two parameters;floor acceleration and interstorey drift ratio. To evaluate the difference in floor accelerations and interstorey drift between various structure systems, two specific sites Balakot and Sindh are selected for the seismic analysis, both sites are in first degree seismic zones. To investigate the efficiency level of base isolation for each structure, linear elastic response spectrum analysis is performed for Design Basis Earthquake level for Balakot and Sindh,in the case of fixed base and base isolated. To improve the exactness of the response, base isolated and Frame structure with shear wall systems are being analyzed nonlinear while conceding the number of floors with modal space under the seismic behaviour of Balakot, since for nonstructure members, the value of floor acceleration is taken.According to the analysis results which are observed in this dissertation work that for both structure systems by the application of base isolation. As the number of floors increase the efficiency of reduction in floor acceleration and interstorey drift ratio decrease. In another worlds, the amount of effectiveness from contrasts from each other between moment frame system and frame structure with shear wall. The linear elastic analysis might be neglected for both interstorey drift ratio and floor acceleration.
