Study On Seismic Response Of Isolated Structure Under Near-field Impulse Ground Motion

Abstract/Summary:
When an earthquake occurs,if the building does not have a certain anti-seismic capacity,it will cause damage to the building,and even lead to the collapse of the building,resulting in economic losses and casualties are unimaginable.After years of research and development,many countries have issued relevant building seismic codes,experts and scholars have also studied many methods of vibration reduction and isolation,such as foundation isolation,arrangement of dampers and so on.Among them,the damper includes energy dissipation buckling brace,viscous damper and so on.This paper will focus on the combination of base isolation and buckling brace.The method of base isolation is to change the natural vibration period of the structure by setting the isolation layer,and to weaken the seismic response of the upper structure by extending the natural vibration period of the structure.When the seismic intensity is small,the buckling brace can provide the lateral stiffness for the structure,and when the seismic intensity is large,it can destroy the main structure before it,thus weakening the seismic response.The commonly used professional structure analysis software includes analysis,SAP2000,ETABS,YJK,etc.in this paper,ETABS is mainly used for research and analysis:First of all,this paper introduces the research status of these two isolation methods.Because the base isolation technology has been relatively mature,this paper focuses on the research progress and design methods of buckling resistant brace.Then,the structural model of an actual project is selected as the research object of this paper.The seismic response of the frame structure with and without buckling braces under different working conditions is compared,and the relevant data such as the base shear force and the development of plastic hinge are compared to verify the damping effect of buckling braces as energy dissipation components of the structure.It provides the feasibility for the use of base isolation at the same time.Then,the base isolation design of the actual engineering structure is carried out.Under the action of common ground motion,the seismic response of the structure under different working conditions is analyzed,and the calculation results of the structure and the original structure after isolation are compared to verify whether the base isolation scheme meets the requirements of the code and whether the base isolation has good isolation effect.Under the action of near-field impulsive ground motion,the results of the base isolation structure that originally met the seismic code requirements are no longer satisfied.Finally,on the basis of base isolation,energy dissipation type buckling proof brace is arranged in the upper structure to form a combined structure of vibration reduction and isolation.Through calculation and analysis of the seismic response of the structure under different working conditions,it is concluded that the combined use of base isolation and buckling proof brace has good damping effect.
