With the rapid development of China’s education and scientific research,the university city formed by a group of higher education institutions has flourished.These university cities are naturally generated and actively constructed,but no matter what form they are,it has a certain current status foundation.Among them,the Guangzhou University City formed by active construction has retained four communities on the basis of its current status,namely Beiting Community,Nanting Community,Suishi Community and Beigang Community.These four reserved communities formed the unique characteristics of Guangzhou University City,but they also created a series of problems.Due to the construction of the Guangzhou University Town,the land reserved for the community was expropriated,and the residents ’lifestyles have undergone tremendous changes.The primary industry,mainly planting and fishing,has developed into a tertiary industry,mainly service.Coupled with the lack of planning guidance for the development of reserved communities,this has led to a series of problems such as disordered business development,reduced environmental quality,lack of public facilities,damaged street textures,and illegal construction of buildings.These problems affect the lives of the residents and the overall style of the university city,and there is an urgent need to find a solution.After in-depth research on the reserved community,the author introduces the concept of "urban renewal",on the premise of protecting the traditional style of the community,based on the harmonious and integrated development of the community and surrounding universities,discussed the microrenewal strategy of the reserved community It provides research reference for the inheritance of the school’s historical and traditional culture,environmental governance,cultural construction,and harmonious development of schools and villages.This article is divided into six chapters:The first chapter expounds the research background,the current research situation at home and abroad,the purpose and significance of the research,the content and method of the research and the innovation of the research.The second chapter reviews the profiles,characteristics,and existing problems of the four reserved communities through extensive field research and data collection.The third chapter analyzes the development orientation of Guangzhou University City and the four reserved communities,the relationship between the reserved communities and surrounding universities,and the future development route of the reserved communities.The fourth chapter focuses on the urban renewal related theories,analyzes the cases of microupdates in the communities around universities at home and abroad,and provides a theoretical basis for the next step of micro-update strategy research.The fifth chapter discusses the micro-update strategies of four reserved communities on the basis of the above research,including micro-update guidelines,goals,principles,content,models,characteristics,participants,discussion mechanisms,strategies,design exploration and implementation of micro-update Expected results afterwards.Finally,for the concluding part,it summarizes the general idea of micro-updates in reserved communities,and puts forward a few suggestions for the implementation of micro-update ideas in the reserved communities.Update as an example,to extract the concept of community micro-update,to provide reference and reference for related types of community governance.
