| Developments of cities are always accompanied by conflicts. The development of thewhole society is a process of dialectical development, which contradiction occurs and beovercome. Since21st century, humans has created great wealth that no era can exceed.However, the ecological environment of mankind and "texture" are gradually disappearing,presenting a phenomenon that thousands of cities are in one side. Under the dual pressures ofmarket economy and achievements in one’s post, the damage of "texture" of Guangzhou,China’s famous historical and cultural city, with a history over two thousand years, is moreserious. It has gradually lost its original historical value and city character."Village in city" is a special phenomenon accompanied by China’s rapid urbanizationprocess. Large numbers of "village in city" bring obstacles that cannot be soveled to city’sdevelopment, and also affect the long-term development of themselves and their villagers’self-interest. Transformation of "village in city" is an urgent task for government departmentsnow.This paper based on researches of related issues on domestic and international, deal withthe problem of "village in city" at the point of protection and renovation of the "villagetexture". According to three constituent elements of the "village texture": the "skeleton","group","marker", the article analysis the reasons that the "village texture" disappeared in theprocess of the transformation of "village in city". Combined with the domestic and abroadsuccessful experience of reconstruction of "village in city"and use the methods of horizontalcomparison and vertical comparison to give an in-depth study of" villages in city" ofGuangzhou in the past and present. It also put forward that, in order to create a unique urbanimage of Guangzhou, the "village texture" should be a key protection in the future’sreconstruction of the"village in city".In the end, combining with the design practice--renovation project in Chajiao village,Liwan District, Guangzhou", this article want to propose a transformation mode that in theperspective of protection and renovation of the "village texture" of the "village in city". Thispaper attempts to fan out from point to area, through the Chajiao village renovation work, toprovide a similar reference for the transformation of villages in related topics. |
