With the rapid development of the city's economy and the improvement of people's living standards,the entertainment demand with the main part of shopping has gradually increased,so shopping centers have rapidly developed.However,there are some shopping centers even withdraw from the market due to very few few customers.At present,there are still some problems in terms of shopping center development in China,such as blindness in investment,wrong location selection,and uneven regional development.However,the focus of the contradiction is mainly on the choice of location.In order to solve the unbalanced distribution and location selection problem which are existed in the spatial layout of shopping centers,this study takes Weiyang District in Xi'an City as the research area and shopping centers as the research content.Deepening the research on the spatial layout of shopping centers from the perspective of GIS can not only contribute to improve the service capability of urban shopping centers,provide decision support for the government to enhance the scientific layout of shopping centers in Weiyang District,but also provide reference for the spatial layout and optimization research of shopping centers in latercomer area,and offer basic data support for addressing decision services to developers.The specific research contents and results are as follows:(1)In order to understand the distribution situation of shopping centers in each street of Weiyang District,this study adopts two analysis methods of kernel density analysis and standard deviation ellipse to analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of shopping centers in Weiyang District in Xi'an City.It comprehensively analyzes the number and spatial layout of shopping centers,the conclusion is drawn that the whole shopping center in Weiyang District presents a "multi-center,group type" characteristic with imbalance spatial distribution.(2)Based on the potential model and the improved two-step floating catchment area method to evaluate the spatial accessibility in terms of current situation and planning layout of the shopping center in Weiyang District,of which the improved two-step floating catchment area method introduces distance attenuation function in the traditional two-step floating catchment area method,and considers the impact of distance attenuation on accessibility.The research results show that the spatial accessibility of shopping centers in Weiyang District is gradually decreasing from the center to the suburb.The places where with higher spatial accessibility are mainly in Zhangjiabao Street and Daminggong Street,and in contrast,the places with lower spatial accessibility are mainly in Caotan Street and Liucunbao Street,etc.Under the circumstances of obtaining same population while analyzing two accessibility calculation methods,the spatial accessibility evaluation of improved two-step floating catchment area method is more fit the conclusions of actual situation than that evaluation of potential model.(3)The fairness difference analysis for the spatial layout of shopping centers in Weiyang District is mainly on the basis of the two methods of coupling coordination model and average accessibility.Two results are basically the same,the spatial distribution and spatial matching of population of the shopping center are considered in the coupling coordination model,the average accessibility is the fairness of the resource allocation of the shopping centers in each street.The study results show that the distribution of shopping centers and residential communities in Weiyang District presents spatial coupling on the whole,but some streets are with less coupling.Zhangjiabao Street and Hancheng Street where owns more shopping centers and more weight,the average accessibility is higher.However,for the Caotan Street and Weiyanggong Street where has fewer shopping centers and less weight,the average accessibility are lower.(4)The research of layout optimization countermeasure of shopping centers in Weiyang District is primarily through quantitative location allocation model research and qualitative countermeasure suggestion analysis.Based on the spatial accessibility and the results of fairness research of that shopping centers,and using the method of minimizing the facility numbers and maximizing coverage in the location allocation model,two optimization methods for location selection are proposed separately.To allow the spatial layout of the shopping center is more scientific on the basis of meeting the given requirement.
