Project progress management is one of the most important work in the development process of new model project,it is also the key factor to improve the speed of new model products,grasp the time of listing and improve the core competitiveness of automobile enterprises.In this paper,the research object is the new sedan development project of Model B of Automobile Engineering Research Institute of our company.Using the critical path method to study the project progress management and analyze the development cycle data of other project models of the company in the past,then develop schedule management plan in line with the actual development situation of the new sedan development project of Model B.At the same time,construct the working method of schedule management in line with the new vehicle development project.It provides scientific basis and guarantee for the smooth production and marketing of the project.Firstly,this paper introduces the current industry environment of automobile industry,which express the importance of the current automobile industry to seize the opportunity,grasp the key points and launch new model products in time for automobile enterprises.Secondly,this paper introduces the basic concept of project progress management,including the domestic and foreign scholars for the project progress management research history and the present situation has carried on the analysis,then introduces the organizational form and development process of the company's new model development project,including the development type,forward development process,development work composition and organizational structure of the new model,which provides a theoretical basis for the follow-up in-depth study of the company's new model development projects.After that,this paper introduces the basic situation of the research object B model project,through the description of the project overview,clear the basis and principle of the preparation of the project progress,use the WBS method to decompose the project tasks of the new sedan development project of Model B,and predict the cycle of various tasks,using milestone method to prepare the project schedule.Then,statistical analysis on the development cycle data of past projects and comb out four essential key paths in new model development projects,after arriving at the critical path of the new model project,by using the critical path method to optimize the project progress and reduce its development cycle,which promote the project to complete the established development work in a limited time,so as to meet the time demand of new model launch.Finally,according to the actual project schedule management in the process of new model development,a set of methodology for the progress management of new model development project is proposed,including project planning technology,node management method,risk management method,and big house management mode,so as to the project can be carried out as scheduled.This study has a positive significance for the new vehicle development project,the work of project managers in the automobile industry,and provides a reference for the progress management of the automobile development project.
