Most of the airports in China have been successfully constructed and put into operation,and the construction of the accessible service design of the airport tends to be improved and perfected in the later period.At the same time,intelligent development has brought new opportunities and challenges to the airport's accessible service design.However,it lacks of deep research of departure service design for physically disabled groups.In addition,the behavioral traits of physically disabled groups are not compatible with the departure services of airport.Particularly the intelligent applications do not cover all physically disabled groups.The design of departure service for passengers with physical disability remains to be improved.The paper is based on the design of departure service for passengers with physical disabilities as the research object,and takes the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Terminal 2 as a research case.According to the analysis of the domestic and international the accessible service design and environment construction of the airport,and summarizing the points that the behavioral traits of physically disabled passengers are not compatible with the departure services of airport,the paper analyzes the pain points and demands of departure service design for physically disabled passengers.Finally,the paper summarizes the design principles and strategies applicable to the departure service design for passengers with physical disability.The research of this paper is mainly divided into four parts.(1)Analyzing the behavioral traits of the persons with physically disability and the departure service processes,touchpoints and stakeholders in the airport,and combining environment and behavior theory,the paper studies and analyzes the behavioral obstacles of passengers with physical disability in departure service.(2)The research on the demands of departure service for physically disable passengers.Through using the methods of contextual inquiry,interviews,focus groups and so on,the paper investigates the demands of physically disable passengers in the departure service design.At the same time the generality of the demands is verified through questionnaire.Finally,the paper summarizes the demands of the departure service design for the passengers of physical disability.(3)Combining the research of the demands and the departure service at home and abroad,the paper puts forward the design principles and strategies applicable to the departure service design for passengers with physical disability.(4)Taking the terminal 2 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport as a research case,the paper studies and analyzes the status of the departure service design for the passengers with physical disability.Through using the design principles and strategies summarized in the paper,the suggestions for optimizing the accessible service design and environment of the Baiyun Airport are put forward,hoping to improve the experience of physically disabled passengers.The paper conducts the research of the departure service for the passengers with physical disability and takes the terminal 2 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport as a study case,which has improved the departure service in the airport and enriched the research on the airport accessibility.At the same time,the methods and results of the research can provide the reference and design guidance for the design of public travel services for the person with physically disability,and also provide the ideas and methods for the research related accessible design and service.
