| According to the 2019 World Top 500 Company Ranking of Automotive Product and relevant Components,Volkswagen and Toyota retained in the TOP10,but their rankings have declined respectively.The rankings of other automotive companies were also declined.From this point of view,the weakness in the global automotive market has gradually manifested in component section and its downstream suppliers.At the same time,in order to meet the increasingly stringent national laws and regulations as well as the higher and higher quality requirements of consumers,Automotive enterprises will transfer costs and risks to their downstream suppliers step by step.These unfavorable factors undoubtedly bring more and more arduous challenges to China’s automotive manufacturing industry.Therefore,it also means that enterprises must re-study the quality management system requirement of the automotive industry from a new perspective,and build-up a suitable quality system for the development of the industry to improve their quality,managerial-skill level and enhance capability of risk resistance.The paper takes automotive motor of D company as research target.The sales of automotive motor is the main income source of D company.Due to the high defective rate of automotive motor products in noise test,the defective products were delivered to customer,it caused customer complaints.At the meantime,a huge numbers of products scrap has increased manufacturing cost and reduced production efficiency.Therefore,D company decide to set up a quality improvement team to solve the quality problem of automotive motor by using Six Sigma Management DMAIC improvement model.Firstly,it is identified that the in-process main defects is noise issue with Pareto Diagram analysis,by using CTQ to find out the key process of affecting quality.Furthermore,the effectiveness of the measurement system is verified through analysis,and then to identify the potential root cause of motor noise by using the Brainstorming method,Cause and Effect Diagram,Cause and Effect Matrix,Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and etc.Under verified the correlation between the process parameters through DOE(Design of Experiment)validation,drew up the corresponding improvement actions,such as process parameters optimized,process operation design improved,as well as under the concerted efforts of all departments,the improvement actions are implemented effectively,through the analysis results of performance process index and two independent samples t test,it is proved that the implementation result of the improvement actions is good.When the project is completed,the defective rate of noise of automotive motor products has been reduced from 1% to 0.3%,overall first pass rate increased form 98.5% to 99.6%,saving about 2 million RMB defective product scrap costs per year.Meanwhile,it also gradually enhanced the customer’s satisfaction of complaints handling service.By the promotion of the Six Sigma management DMAIC improvement model,it enriched the content of the quality management system,enhance quality managerial-skill level,win customer satisfaction and trust,at the same time,it provides a good example and experience for other quality improvement projects of D company. |
