Research On Xinyang Architectural Style Control Based On The Regional Context

Due to the impact of global economic integration,the regional context of many cities is weakening.With rapid expansion,the homogenization phenomenon has become more serious.Nowadays,an uniquely identified urban architectural style can inherit the city’s unique regional traditional spirit,enhance the city’s cultural soft power,and strengthen the citizen’s sense of belonging.More and more cities begin to focus the urban architectural style and carry out related style control practices.In this paper,we take XinYang as an example to calrify the issues and solutions.This article first clarified the relationship between the regional context and the control of the style of modern urban architecture based on the related theoretical research of regional context.Then,we combine the concepts and cases of urban architectural style control related to regional cultural traditions to do the in-depth research.Four aspects are concluded: target positioning,structural system,control elements,and control forms.Based on these,an empirical study on the control of architectural style based on the continuity of regional context in Xinyang is carried out.After analyzing the status and issues of urban architectural style related to regional context,the target strategy and overall principles of style control are defined.We put forward specific strategies and requirements for style and area control guidance,and further take the most representative area of the old town district as an example,and carry out an example of architectural style control in depth.This article can provide a reasonable technical method for the control of architectural features in traditional regional characteristics of Xinyang City;at the same time,it can provide some references for the control of architectural features in similar cities.
