In the context of rural rejuvenation,rural society is undergoing tremendous changes.This article studies the gender relations of rural women in the kitchen space from the perspective of space production theory,discusses the changes in kitchen space and women’s production activities in the kitchen,and then perspectives the gender differences in the kitchen.Then the perspective of gender relations in the kitchen.This paper mainly uses field research methods to investigate the changes in the kitchen space of villagers in Nan Village in the past 70 years,and divides the changes of kitchen space in the past 70 years into three stages,namely traditional kitchens,connected kitchens and modern kitchens.With the change of kitchen space,women’s production activities in the kitchen have also changed.The traditional kitchen has gradually liberated the physical constraints on women.Power,productivity and spiritual space have played an important role in this process.According to the analysis of space production theory,changes in kitchen space and changes in women’s practices affect gender relations in the kitchen,and solidify in the space through production activities.The change of the physical space of the kitchen is the change of people’s perceivable space,which is the process of space practice.In the process of space practice,multiple forces are intertwined with each other to produce a space in which the user lives,that is,a reproducible space.The reproducible space in the kitchen contains complex gender relations,which are expressed through the power structure,positional relationship and psychological cognition.In rural society,men have the right to control the kitchen and delegate the right to use it.Women have more power in the kitchen after struggle,but men still have the main power;Women occupy the main position only when the kitchen is a private space.When the kitchen becomes a public space,women are squeezed to the edge by men;In terms of psychological cognition,most rural women recognize their identity in the kitchen and regard the kitchen as a female space.Even if some young women do not think so,they have to accept the role in the kitchen due to real life and eventually Psychologically solidified.The gender relationship produced in the kitchen space reveals inequality in the space,and to achieve space justice requires the joint efforts of society and individuals. |
