Research On Public Space Design Of Old And Child Composite Welfare Facilities

In recent years,along with the gradual improvement and reform of China's social welfare system,and the multiple pressures from the land cost,construction cost and labor cost,China has extensively developed the"old and child composite welfare facilities" which are uniformly supervised by the civil affairs department.The facilities are the combination of child welfare facility and elderly welfare facility in the same park and are actively promoting the interaction between elderly and orphans.This study investigated the relevant policies,regulations and construction status of the old and child composite welfare facilities.And combined with the content,characteristics of elderly and orphans' behavior and spatial use in the facility,this study explored the problem of the use of public space.Afterwards,based on the conclusions of foreign studies,this study explored the strategies and methods for designing,integrating and optimizing the public space of composite welfare facilities in China.This study used some social welfare facilities in Hangzhou as samples to conduct research on the construction status and use status of the public space of old and child composite welfare facilities through the research method such as literature surveys,case studys,and questionnaire surveys.Through the combing of the design specifications and management norms related to the old and child composite welfare facilities,the elderly welfare facilities,and the child welfare facilities,the standards of functional room configuration and service content setting are analyzed,and the current functional configuration of the composite welfare facilities and the current space system construction status are clarified.Through the observation and description of the composite behavior content and characteristics of the elderly and children in the composite welfare facilities,the "behavior-function-space" system of the composite facility is constructed,and the material space and the behavior system are matched,to find out the problems such as the elderly and children in the existing composite welfare facilities in China are relatively independent,and the functional spatial overlap between the two types of regions is high,and the existing public space cannot meet the needs of the old and young composite behavior.In view of the above problems,through case study,this study analyzed the spatial organization method of the composite facilities by using the related cases in foreign countries as samples.Taking the "sector-type" composite facility widely promoted in China as an example,the research on plane organization and layout is carried out.On this basis,this study focused on the three types of "public space",indoor public activity spaces,outdoor public activity space and public transportation space,and from the aspects of material,color,shape/scale/enclosure and furniture/facilities,the public space design principles and strategies are given out.Finally,through the empirical research of a social welfare center in Hangzhou,the existing problems are analyzed,and the public space integration plan and public space optimization strategy are proposed.
