Industry-university cooperation plays an increasingly important role in the national innovation system,and has become an important way to promote innovation.The firm is a dominant innovator who can catch the trend of innovation in the world.With the advance of urbanization,construction enterprises have mushroomed.In order to achieve sustainable advantage in the fierce competition,many construction enterprises tend to cooperate with universities with talents and knowledge.However,there are quite few studies on industry-university cooperation project management.Thus,this paper discusses how to improve the management performance of industry-university cooperation projects in construction enterprises.The theoretical and practical importance of research is self-evident.Based on theoretical deduction,case study,questionnaire investigation,statistical analysis and other study methods,this paper conducts a systematic and in-depth study on the topic of industry-university cooperation project management from the perspective of construction enterprises.Specifically,this paper aims to:(1)identify factors which influence industry-university cooperation project management;(2)construct a management mechanism model of industry-university cooperation project;(3)provide suggestions to improve the management of industry-university cooperation projects.This paper has following research conclusions.First,based on a number of case studies,trust,linkage strength,the acceptance of norms,the degree of tacit understanding in behavior between construction enterprises and cooperative universities and the external environment have an important impact on the management of industry-university cooperation projects.Second,the two dimensions of relational embeddedness are trust and linkage strength,the two dimensions of network routine are the acceptance of norms and the degree of tacit understanding in behavior.Based on survey and empirical analysis,trust,linkage strength,the acceptance of norms,the degree of tacit understanding in behavior between construction enterprises and cooperative universities have significant and positive effect on firm performance.External environment has no significant positive moderate effect on the relationship between trust,linkage strength and firm performance.External environment has a significant positive moderate effect on the relationship between the degree of tacit understanding in behavior and firm performance.Third,theoretical and normative analysis provide important suggestions for the improvement of industry-university cooperation management.The enterprise should value relational asset management to promote the sustainable industry-university cooperation.The cooperate network should play a synergistic role to improve the management benefit of industry-university cooperation projects.All participants should create a good external environment to stimulate the vitality of industry-university cooperation management.The contributions of this paper are as follows.First,the paper identifies the influencing factors of industry-university cooperation project management in construction enterprises,and provides some suggestions for the practice of industry-university cooperation project.Second,the management mechanism model of industry-university cooperation project is constructed,which provides paths to improve the management performance of industry-university cooperation project.Third,suggestions to improve the management of industry-university are put forward,which enriches the theory of industry-university cooperation project management.
