Since the reform and opening up,especially after China’s accession to the WTO,China’s urbanization has been steadi ly and orderly accelerated.The ever-maturing construction market and increasingly sophisticated engineering management concepts have put forward new requirements for the engineering management level of construction units.Under this circumstance,the EPC mode has begun to be introduced into China from abroad,and has developed rapidly in the domestic construction market due to strong policy support.As the number of domestic enterprises with EPC qualifications that can independently undertake large-scale projects is quite limited,the EPC mode implemented by a consortium composed of design enterprise and construction enterprise has been recognized by the government.The number of projects adopting this mode is increasing,and the mode has undergone a change from leaded by construction enterprise to leaded by design enterprise during the process of development.The paper first introduces the concept,origin and development of domestic EPC mode in the basic theory section.At the same time,through reviewing many domestic and foreign literature on EPC consortium management,combining the analysis of the advantages,difficulties and existing problems of the RPC consortium mode leaded by design enterprise,this paper points out that design enterprise’s insufficient understanding of the key elements of EPC consortium management is the cause of the problemThe core part of the paper has two aspects.The first part is the study of the influencing factors of EPC consortium management leaded by design enterprise.Firstly,the list of influencing factors of EPC consortium management leaded by design enterprise was obtained through literature analysis method,and then the final list of key influencing factors was found and summarized through the expert interview method,three key influencing factors are obtained.Secondly,based on the identified key influencing factors,the comprehensive evaluation method and project investigation method are used to study and analyze each key influencing factor,which provides management ideas and countermeasures for the design enterprise in the EPC consortium.Finally,this paper takes an EPC consortium project leaded by design enterprise as an example,analyzes and evaluates the design enterprise’s control and management of key influencing factors,and summarizes the consortium’s operating effect.The importance of the control of the identified key influencing factors to the management of the consortium and the feasibility of the targeted management recommendations was verified.
