Study On The Protection And Development Of Xianghu New Town Under The Perspective Of "Urban Renewal And Ecological Restoration"

With the advancement of urbanization,the number and scale of new towns across the country have experienced rapid growth,resulting in an imbalance between the industrial and living areas in the urban area,and between the new town and the old town,Urban problems have emerged.For example,the destruction of the ecological environment in the region,the loss of control over the urban form,and the difficulty in guaranteeing various supporting services.Xianghu New Town is a model area that reflects the" Integration of Ecology,Life and Production" on the south bank of Qiantang River.Although the lake area has been recovered for 6.1 square kilometers after more than 10 years'of protection and development,it is also faced with similar"urban disease" as other industrial new cities.As a staff of the local construction management department,the author analyzes the history of the development of Xianghu N ew Town from the perspective of“Urban Renewal and Ecological Restoration",in order to find a scientific and more suitable way for the industry,products and development of Xianghu New Town.In particular,it is aimed at rectifying the urban development chaos in the market town block,eradicating the“urban disease”that has not been cured for a long time,realizing the improvement of urban management and governance ability during the transformation,and promoting people's "sense of gain" for sharing quality life of people.This study focuses on the path,method and innovation of the protection and development of Xianghu New Town from the perspective of"Urban Renewal and Ecological Restoration" and the demonstration role it has brought to us.The aim is to reproduce the ecological pattern of harmonious coexistence between people and nature from the perspective of Urban Renewal and Ecological Restoration",and to get a full understanding and grasp of the concept and essence of "Urban Renewal and Ecological Restoration",which is the only way to protect and develop Xianghu New Town.We can also conclude that our future urban management should not only be based on "Urban Renewal and Ecological Restoration",but also aimed to meeting more needs of the people in the process of urbanization.
