In the theory of space study,Professor Gu Daqing's theory of spatial organization strategies has a simple and clear operation method and a research spirit based on experiment. This essay continues the perspective of spatial research based on Modern painting, tries to answer the question:Can we parametrize spatial organization strategies? The essay cosists of four parts:theorey background, painting material, graphic analysis and parameterization deduction.First, theorey background clarifies study on two aspects of spatial research and parametric research, establishing the basic standpoint and research route of this research. In the part of painting material, analyzes the modern abstract paintings from the perspective of space, and files the paintings related to spatial organization and operation. Then, through graphical analysis, analyzes the paintings from four levels of element types, spatial organization strategies, spatial attributes and transformation of spatial strategies, and finds out the influential parameters. At last, the obtained parameters are used to construct parametric model and deduct space generation from three aspects:spatial organization strategies, spatial attributes and transformation of spatial strategies.Through the parametric study of the spatial organization strategies based on Modern abstract painting, the possibility of spatial organization strategies for space generation design and architectural practice is explored. At the same time, the parametric method as an experimental method of space theory also provides a new research tool for space research.
