Research On Interior Space Color Design Of Nursing Home

With the aging of society,the number of nursing homes has gradually increased,and plays an indispensable role in today’s aging society.The interior space environment of the nursing home determines the quality of life of the elderly.However,most of the existing nursing homes in China are mainly functional in the interior space design,and only carry out the simple design in the decoration aspect,but not give in-depth consideration to the impact of interior space decoration color on the visual behavior and psychological activities of the elderly.Color is an important factor affecting people’s emotional and psychological activities.Especially for the elderly,affected by their own age,physical conditions and other factors,whether at the physical or psychological level,they have special requirements for the living environment and living space design.The color design of the interior space of nursing homes is playing an increasingly important role in today’s society,which directly affects the physiological,psychological and emotional changes of the elderly.This thesis uses chromatology,the psychology of the elderly,analysis of visual characteristics of the elderly,and interior space design to conduct cross-researches.What’s more,the research is based on the relationship between the visual characteristics,psychological characteristics of the elderly and the color design of the interior space.The theoretical point of view and the elderly’s need for interior space color both provide a theoretical basis for subsequent research on the interior color design of nursing homes.By taking the Tianma Lake Nursing Home in Qinhuangdao as a practical case and combining the three elements of color for comparison and analyzing and comparing elderly users,propose a practical nursing home design method based on the perspective of the elderly.The results of the research and analysis in this thesis will cover the following aspects: the visual characteristics of the elderly;the psychological characteristics of the elderly;the color needs of the elderly;the color design of different functional areas of the nursing home.Through the above studies,the author hopes to provide new perspectives and ideas for the interior design of the nursing home and to create a better living environment that reflects the cultural characteristics and meets the physical and mental needs of the elderly,so as to build a better nursing home.
