Due to the serious consequences of the accident,the structure of the bridge pier may be damaged and the service life of the bridge pier may be affected.Therefore,it is of great significance in theory and engineering practice to study the potentially damage mechanism of the bridge pier under the impact of vehicles,the simplified calculation method of the impact force of vehicle impact on the bridge pier and the anti-collision device of the bridge pier.In this paper,the following work has been done around the subject of vehicle impact on piers:(1)This paper introduces the research status of vehicle impacting bridge pier,the application steps of ANSYS/LS-DYNA and the relevant calculation theory.At the same time,it also introduces three methods of contact algorithm,the methods of hourglass energy control,the element type and constitutive model used in this paper.(2)The FE model of the equivalent vehicle impacting the pier is established to verify the rationality of the equivalent vehicle model,and compared with the impact results of the rigid vehicle,which further shows that the impact of the equivalent vehicle is closer to the actual situation.This paper analyzes the bridge pier from the energy,impact force,displacement and other angles under the condition of different speed of equivalent vehicle,and also analyzes the parts of the bridge pier that are prone to local damage from the angle of stress,and obtains the damage situation of different parts of the bridge pier under different speed.(3)The theoretical model and calculation method provided by relevant codes are introduced.The impact force is calculated by combining the modified formula given by other scholars,and the results are compared with the results of the equivalent static calculation method for mutual verification.A simplified calculation method of impact force is adopted,which regards vehicle impact on pier as a process of uniform deceleration.The rationality of this method is verified by comparing with the results of equivalent static calculation.The results of the calculation method are compared with those of Chinese,European and American codes,and suggestions are put forward for Chinese codes.(4)A kind of anti-collision device of steel sleeve box polyurethane(PU)filling layer is designed.The parameters of different PU materials,different steel plate thickness and different PU layer thickness are analyzed.The energy absorption of steel plate and PU layer and the reduction of impact force by anti-collision device are analyzed.
